About Our Founder
After nearly 20 years of focusing on the private M&A markets from various vantage points, Jeff Escuder founded Third Hat Consulting in 2020 to focus on creating efficiency in overlooked parts of M&A processes.

Jeff began his career in 2003 as a M&A lawyer at world-class multi-national law firm White & Case LLP. During his tenure at White & Case, he represented financial and strategic buyers and sellers in all aspects of domestic and multi-national M&A transactions.
From White & Case, Jeff joined Deloitte in 2007. During his 13 years with Deloitte, Jeff held several roles, all focused on M&A. After seven years as assistant general counsel, Jeff moved into the M&A risk management group and was promoted to Managing Director.
Immediately prior to founding Third Hat Consulting, Jeff led the Deloitte U.S. Investment Banking Risk Management team.
Jeff is a licensed attorney in the state of New York and has held Series 79 and Series 63 securities licenses.
